Fitz lays out Cheney and Scooter in rebuttal

Firedoglake.com has been awsome. Ladies you are too good. Real time blogging has captured the feel of this trial from the start and the closing arguments today were the culmination of what amounts to a coup de grace for blogging.
Everyone should go there to read Fitzgerald's rebuttal of defence's closing arguments. Devastating, simply devastating.
My favorite part though is the way he brought the boss into the scheme. No not that Boss, I mean Dick Cheney. How do you call a conspiracy a conspiracy without using that word? He does it. Remember his analogy upon bringing the charges of purjery and obstruction? "Like throwing sand in an umpires eyes." Well the ump is still pissed and he lay's it on.
Great idea; a Right to Privacy Amendment

A wonderful opinion piece in this morning's New York Times, by Dan Savage titled 'I Could Use a Little Privacy' offers a terrific approach to fighting fundamentalists intent upon reversing Roe v. Wade.
Let's begin a Right of Privacy Amendment.
Out There, Somewhere
Mon Sep 12, 2005 at 07:19:30 AM PDT
Remember when the president did his little comedy skit pretending to look aroung the oval office for WMD's? Well, I've begun a little song parody with a song by James Ingram and Linda Rhonstat, called Somewhere, Out There. I could use some help with some more verses or some other ideas for parodies, or even someone to make a CD of Songs of the Bush. Here's my first installment.
Out There, Somewhere by Bubble Boy
Out there, somewhere
Sadam hid his WMD's
I know when I find them
the whole world will love me
Out there, somewhere
he stashed Aluminum tubes
that prove's he's the devil
and that I am not a rube
and even though I know that everyone is watching me...
I know that all that shows is just what Karl wants them to see..
a bubble keeps me insulsted, safe from scrutiny
I have become a corporate shrine to mediocrity...
Out there, somewhere
we spent those IOU's
It was there for your old age
but now we say 'screw you'
Out there, somewhere
the clouds have blown away
so the first act of rebuilding
will be done the Halliburton way
That's it. Help me out Kossaks.
